Maintenance and Safety

Central States Trailways enjoys an outstanding reputation for safety and customer satisfaction. We operate under strict guidelines set forth by both state and federal Departments of Transportation (DOT). Safety is always our primary concern. A professional, well-trained staff of experienced drivers and a fleet of late-model coaches that are maintained in top condition ensure our customers will enjoy a safe trip. Each driver must pass a pre-employment DOT physical, must be periodically screened for drugs and alcohol, and must successfully pass a periodic road test. All drivers must maintain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and are expected to follow our safety guidelines and attend mandatory quarterly safety meetings.

Safety equals reliability, and reliability equals safety -- it all goes hand in hand. Central States Trailways is proud of its fleet of late-model coaches that are maintained in top mechanical condition. Regular service intervals (for preventive maintenance) are provided at our five-bay on-site service facility. Our ASE-Certified service technicians are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and are prepared for every possible situation.

In addition to safety and maintenance, we have a cleaning team dedicated to making sure our customers receive an enjoyable transportation experience. Every coach is thoroughly cleaned inside and out prior to every trip, so we're always ready to roll out in style!
